BLINN INVITES ITT STUDENTS TO MEET WITH ACADEMIC ADVISORS

Blinn College is ready and willing to assist students whose educational path has been disrupted by the closure of ITT Technical Institute.icon-Blinn

ITT announced last week that it would cease operations, approximately two weeks after the U.S. Department of Education prohibited ITT from enrolling new students who use federal financial aid. In a message to ITT students, the U.S. Department of Education encouraged students to continue their education and identified two options for ITT students: discharging their federal loans or exploring the possibility of transferring credits to another institution.

Blinn College is encouraging students seeking to continue their education to meet with a Blinn College advisor for guidance in achieving their college and career goals. Students can make an appointment to speak to an academic advisor by calling the Brenham campus at 979-830-4196, the Bryan campus at 979-209-7250, the Schulenburg campus at 979-743-5200, or the Sealy campus at 979-627-7997.

Blinn’s Business, Information Technology, and Public Service programs include Accounting, Applied Business, Art and Visual Communication, Business, Child Development, Computer Science, Criminal Justice, Economics, Hospitality Management, Information Technology, Paralegal, Information Management and Real Estate. Each program provides a supportive learning environment through in-depth instruction and an innovative use of technology in the classroom. Blinn College credits transfer to leading four-year universities.

Blinn’s Division of Health Sciences offers programs in Associate Degree Nursing, Dental Hygiene, Emergency Medical Services, Fire Science, Health Information Technology, Physical Therapist Assistant, Radiologic Technology, Veterinary Technology and Vocational Nursing.

Additionally, Blinn’s Division of Workforce Education offers a variety of programs designed to help job seekers obtain the skills and credentials they need to succeed in the workplace.
