BLINN NAMES NEW BRAZOS COUNTY CAMPUS PRESIDENT

The Blinn College Board of Trustees named Sylvia McMullen to be president of its Brazos County campus in Bryan at their meeting last (Tuesday) night.

McMullen, a 30-year  veteran in educational leadership, business development, and is an expert in product management search, will take her new position on January first.  She was an interim president for the Bryan campus, working since August.

Blinn President Harold Nolte said that McMullen has demonstrated that her ‘dynamic leadership, superior planning skills and passion for Blinn College make her the perfect president for a campus that will continue to play an ever expanding role in the future of Bryan and College Station.

The Blinn Bryan Campus is the largest of the Blinn College system, with a record 12,771 students this semester. McMullen said her chief priority will be not only to promote but to continue the campus for enrollment increases.

McMullen replaces Dr. Ted Raspiller, who was hired as president of John Tyler Community College in May.
