BLINN OFFERS STUDY ABROAD OPPORTUNITY FOR BRITISH LITERATURE STUDENTS

Blinn College students can register to visit Ireland, Wales and England during a study abroad British literature course this December.

English 2322: British Literature I is a three-hour core course that includes online study in addition to the international trip, which takes place Dec. 29 through Jan. 6.

While in Ireland, students will visit castles, see the Rock of Cashel and enjoy a Guinness stew dinner. On the sixth day of the trip, students will travel to North Wales to visit a Welsh castle and travel through Snowdonia. The remainder of the time will be spent in England visiting the birthplace of Shakespeare and touring London, including visits to Big Ben and Westminster Abbey.

“This is a perfect experience for students looking to observe different cultures,” said Rachael Lacina-Taylor, Humanities instructor and study abroad group leader.

Hosted by Education First College Study Tours, the course is $3,095 and includes round-trip airfare, accommodations, on-tour transportation, regional-style meals, curriculum integration, guided local sightseeing, expert local guides and a full-time tour director. Students who have completed English 1301 and 1302 can enroll at www.efcollegestudytours.com/professors-trip/1744487NM.
