BLINN PRODUCTION OF ZOMBIE PROM DRAWS OVER 1100

  

More than 1,100 audience members attended the Blinn College-Brenham Campus Theatre Arts production of “Zombie Prom” at the Dr. W.W. O’Donnell Performing Arts Center.

“Our students took on a challenging play, and I was very proud of what they did,” said Brad Nies, Theatre Director.

More than 600 attended the public performances Oct. 12-15, and more than 500 students from local junior high and high schools attended special preview performances. Schools in attendance at the preview performances included Brenham Junior High School, Brenham High School, Burton High School, Columbus High School, Flatonia High School, and Milano High School.

“Zombie Prom,” by Dana Rowe and John Dempsey, was the second play featured in the Season of Dark Tales.

“We were very excited about how it all came together,” said Nies. “The work our students did was absolutely incredible.”

The next play the Blinn College-Brenham Theatre Arts Program will showcase is Michele L. Vacca’s “Hansel and Gretel” at 7 p.m. Nov. 16-18 and 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19, in the O’Donnell Center.
