BLINN TO OFFER ‘QUICK BOOKS’ COURSE

  

The Blinn College Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will host a basic QuickBooks course in May, to teach small business owners to get the most out of their desktop accounting software.

The course will take place Thursday, May 24, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and will provide hands-on experience for QuickBooks desktop version users.

Topics include setting up your records, invoices, deposits and checks, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliation, and running reports. Each attendee will have a desktop computer to use during the course and be provided reference materials to keep.

The class will be taught by Julie Gilmer, CPA and certified QuickBooks Pro advisor.

The workshop will be held at the A.W. Hodde, Jr. Technical Education Center located on S. Blue Bell Road.  Registration is $100 per person and is available at www.blinn.edu/sbdc. Pre-registration and pre-payment are required.
