BLUEBONNET COOP TO HOST TOWN HALL MEETINGS

Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative plans to host five town hall meetings to give co-op members the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about Bluebonnet and its plans for the future.

Bluebonnet General Manager, Mark Rose, says members will have the chance to ask questions such as “where is their power generated from, what’s on their electric bill, as well as how they can monitor their energy use".

Meetings will be held at five locations across Bluebonnet’s service territory. The first town hall meeting will be Wednesday, February 24th at the Bluebonnet Headquarters at 155 Electric Ave. in Bastrop.

The next four town hall meetings will be Thursday February 25th at the Janis Sneed Banquet Room in the Blinn College Student Center, Monday, February 29th at the Giddings Public Library, Wednesday March 2nd at the Manor ISD Central Office’s board room, and Thursday March 3rd at the Lockhart Connection Center.

Each town hall meeting is scheduled from 6 to 7:30pm and will begin with a short presentation about Bluebonnet followed by an open house where those attending can browse tables with information about Bluebonnet service, ask questions, and talk to Bluebonnet employees.

Bluebonnet members that attend the meetings will be able to enter drawings for door prizes to be given away during each meeting as well as a grand prize – a Yeti Cooler – to be drawn from the entries of all five meetings.
