BOB WHITTEN GOLF TOURNAMENT TOMORROW
The Bob Whitten Memorial Golf Tournament will take place tomorrow (Thursday) in Navasota.
The golf tournament will take on a new twist this year, taking place in the evening and featuring glow-in-the-dark golf. John McNally, the Executive Director at the Navasota and Grimes County Chamber, says this tournament pays tribute to an important Navasota community member:
The tournament will feature an event for non-golfers as well this year. After the first 9 holes, 600 golf balls will be simultaneously dropped by helicopter from the sky over a predetermined target. The owner of the numbered golf ball that is closest to the target will win $1,000.
The Bob Whitten Memorial Golf Tournament will take place at 3 p.m. Thursday at Pecan Lakes Golf Club. For more information, visit navasotagrimeschamber.com.
