The Sheriff’s Office says the body of Benjamin Jackson Hyatt was found Tuesday in a tree off County Road 103. Hyatt was reported missing September 12, but he had not been seen since September 3. On that day, he was walking in the woods on County Road 103 and County Road 162, southwest of Iola.

The body was taken to Conroe Medical Center. While they are waiting for the Autopsy results, the Sheriff's Office believes Hyatt died from exposure to the elements. No foul play is expected.

Approximately 30 officers from the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office, Brazos County Sheriff’s Office, Montgomery County Auto Theft Task Force, Texas Parks and Wildlife, and a member of the Search Dog Network out of Bryan helped with Tuesday’s search. The track of land where Hyatt’s body was found is filled with dense underbrush.
