BORCHARDT TO RUN FOR RE-ELECTION TO BLINN BOARD

  

Another Blinn College Board member has announced his intentions to run for re-election.

Precinct-Two Trustee Doug Borchardt says he will run in May for another term on the board.

In his announcement, Thursday, Borchardt says it’s been, “…an honor to serve as a member of the Board of Trustees for the past 7 years.”

Borchardt says he’s “…strived to protect, enhance and preserve the Blinn College System as an institution of higher learning providing access to all in the Blinn service area.”

Borchardt says he will work together with fellow board members and Blinn staff to make governance decisions after obtaining and reviewing the facts.

Borchardt says Blinn’s close relationship with the Texas A&M System as well as other universities has provided low cost opportunities for the students to pursue their dreams, and communities and businesses to enhance their workforce.

No one has yet announced plans to run against Borchardt.  Fellow board member Charles Moser announced his plans to run, Wednesday.
