BRAZOS COUNTY ANNOUNCES NEW WARRANT SYSTEM

Brazos County has discovered a new way to keep traffic of outstanding traffic violations.

Launched last week, Brazos County has gone digital to keep track of Class C Misdemeanors such as traffic tickets, where there are currently more than 8000 warrants outstanding.

The new program is called Laserfiche, and with the use of a scanner and software, the warrants are now being scanned, eliminating the paper and the need for filing.

The county also plans to expand their digital data base to other departments in the county, and the goal is to become paperless.

The Brazos County warrant amnesty is going on now. If you have an outstanding warrant in the county, visit your Justice of the Peace court.
