MEDAL OF HOPE RECIPIENTS NAMED

  

The Brazos Valley Food Bank has named its recipients of the 2016 Medal of Hope.

This year’s recipients are long-time Food Bank volunteers Clarence and Viola Vitopil and Bud and Beverly Myers. For the past two years, the Brazos Valley Food Bank has awarded a person or organization with the medal in recognition of outstanding work towards ending hunger.

The recipients will be honored during this year’s Celebration of Hope Dinner on Tuesday, September 6th. The dinner will be a “raise the paddle” event, where all proceeds will be put towards purchasing a new refrigerated truck for the food bank. The new vehicle will allow more food to be efficiently distributed throughout the Brazos Valley. The dinner will also feature Kelly Bond-White, the Associate Head Coach of Texas A&M University women’s basketball team, as they keynote speaker.

The Celebration of Hope dinner will take place at the College Station Hilton. Tickets are $150 per person. For more information, visit bvfb.org.
