  1. I don’t think the gun is that small I think that’s just a big ol boy with some big ol hands

  2. To the cat lover who said the gun looked small, probably hadn’t had a gun in your face. I’ll bet it would look pretty big then.
    I pray they catch him.

  3. I wish all the commentators would just focus on catching the guy, girl, cat, dog etc. Why does every post get so off topic from the actual story in question? We should just be thankful no family member is making funeral arrangements today! The money can be replaced by the banks insurance company but everyone in the bank cannot! Life is too short to complain and argue!
Good luck to all law enforcement!

  4. Doesn’t matter what color his skin is,what he did was WRONG! He robbed a bank at gun point people!

  5. What about the poor lady at that window ?
Will the bank help her get over this ?
Pray for her and her family.
    Was there a guard ?
I would think all banks need one,
    NO matter how small
IS MONEY more important then their Employee

  6. Why do banks and convenience stores still use cameras that were made in 1980?

    1. I’m sure the question you meant to ask was, “Why in 2018 am I not able to recognize that the photos presented alongside this article are photos of an image on a screen?” Perhaps the screen resolution is not great, or the photographer didn’t tweak their settings to reproduce the images from a screen accurately, but judging from what’s presented here, the original surveillance camera imagery is almost certainly HD.

  7. Prayers for the BSB employees who had to experience this horrible ordeal. May they “get over” this incident with no side effects.
Prayers for the authorities as they search and arrest this man.

    1. I’ve been robbed several times at convenience store jobs, in the area and elsewhere — at gunpoint, knifepoint, and punched in the face. Really not sure what there is to “get over” since no one was injured or killed, and nobody ever prayed for me or offered anything even remotely close to sympathy or support. Mostly the owners were just mad, and the cops were bored (and suspicious of us clerks). But it’s a bank, and thus, “other people’s money,” so it gets all kinds of attention.

      1. I’m sorry those things happened to you Pat, mostly it’s what’s presented that gets an audience and the resulting attention. The fourth estate is a powerful thing. One of my many jobs in college, from concrete construction to counselor, was as a convenience store clerk for a little while. Respect is due to you Pat.

      2. I am sorry that you have had to experience so much (robbed at gun point, threatened with a knife, and punched in the face).
I feel that many people who had to endured all that would have some anxiety. Have unsettled feelings. Maybe even be afraid or scared.
These are normal feelings. As a social worker I feel you may still hold some grudge in your heart due to your response that “no one offered sympathy or support to me”.

        I will pray for you.
        I will pray for others.
I hope you understood the danger you and the bank tellers experienced.

        1. Sorry, I didn’t intend to sound so personal or immediate; my convenience store days were a long time ago, in the depths of the Crack era. The point I failed to convey was, robberies happen everyday, usually to convenience store clerks and liquor store clerks, and very little is said about it, or offered to them. They usually just go back to work. Provided, of course, that they haven’t been killed. I’ve never been a bank teller, but my guess is it’s about the same for them. As for a grudge, no. Anger, yes — at the person who chose to steal, no matter their motivations. Ask any of the many clerks around here who’ve been robbed in the last couple years, what the aftermath is like. Any of the times I was robbed, we never even closed, other than while L.E. was there. Just answered questions while waiting for a manager to make up a new drawer.

      3. Dear Pat, sorry you did not get more attention when you were robbed. Nobody deserves that kind of treatment and everybody deserves a day or two to “get it together” after such an occurrence. Even police officers, though trained for it, expect a gun pointed at them on a regular basis.

  8. Yep, by the lackluster disguise and no effort in hiding his vehicle, id definitely say this was done in desperation. Probably made the decision to do it within hours of walking in there. The day that a currency was first used and monetary wealth was created was a truly sad day in human history…it directly led to the absolute worst trait and sin out there…..GREED

  9. Sorry, but a robbery is a robbery and at gunpoint. He needs to be caught and pay for his crime! Thankfully no one was hurt.

  10. That does not look like a late model truck to me, it looks several years old. I would guess in the late 90’s to early 2000’s on the year model of the white truck in the picture.

  11. I am going to go out on a limb here.. What he did is WRONG. No question about it. But from the pictures shown, he doesn’t look like what you would expect a bank robber to look like. Makes me wonder if he has just lost everything to foreclosure or has a sick family member and no insurance or something. I am probably way off base but those are just the first thoughts that come to mind when I see the pics.

    1. So just cause he is a middle aged caucasian, he deserves a break? Im pretty sure anyone who robs a bank is probably in need.

      1. No, HMMM, I have to say MOST people who rob a bank are not so much in need as they are thugs, lazy and on drugs.
As for what a bank robber typically looks like, it was typical in the old west for a cowboy in a hat and boots to rob a bank. These days you don’t see too many cowboys rob a bank with a nice button up shirt in a nice truck, WHITE OR BLACK. Why do people always think it has to be about color, unless statistically it may be in some circumstances. Like the cowboy in the old west. ?

    2. you said all of that just to say a white man in a cowboy hat has to have a good reason to rob a bank smh. i know times are tough but there’s never a reason to pull a gun on innocent people.

    3. From my observation from the photos, one thing is sure…he ain’t staving. Maybe it’s me, but that gun seems/appears to be plastic and very small.

    4. What does a bank robber look like? This guy took a gun into a bank and used it to force them to fill his bag with money that wasn’t his. Looks like a bank robber to me. Physical appearance means nothing.

    5. what does a bank robber look like then? is it the cowboy hat that throw you off ? the truck? or the white skin?

    6. Pretty sure “Just my thoughts” was referencing his build and the way he was dressed. You don’t usually see a large man dressed in a cowboy hat and button down rob a bank. There was no mention of skin color and “Just my thoughts” clearly stated what he did was wrong no matter the circumstance.

      1. Don’t turn this into a race thing. One thing can’t happen and somebody says it’s a race thing
