BRENHAM MAN ARRESTED FOR SOLICITATION OF A MINOR

  

A Brenham man faces charges after allegedly trying to meet a minor he solicited on line.

33-year old Angus Arredondo of Brenham faces numerous charges after his arrest Tuesday night by the Brenham Police Department’s Fusion Unit.

Authorities say Arredondo had been in contact with a young girl, under 14, for over three weeks and had sent several explicit pictures of himself.

The two agreed to meet Tuesday night at Jackson Street Park, but waiting for Arrendondo were officers of the Fusion Unit.

Officers say Arredondo also tried to flee once he discovered he was going to be arrested.

He is charged with Online Solicitation of a Minor, Evading Arrest and two counts of Distributing Harmful Material to a Minor.

Arredondo’s remains in custody, his bond has been set at $101,500.

  1. Thank God, we have a police department that is on their toes — so that guy like this are caught before these young girls are in trouble — I praise the mom and dad. I hope this wakes up the people in Brenham. There are bad guys out there praying on our kids. We all have to watch out for each other to keep us and our town safe.
