According to his Facebook page, long-time Brenham attorney Steve Haley has died.

Haley had been battling an illness since last summer.

Haley was a partner in the Brenham law firm of Moorman, Tate, Haley, Upchurch & Yates, who specialized in real estate transactions and litigation.

He was a graduate of the University of Houston Law School and frequent speaker and lecturer.

Haley was a graduate of Texas A&M and the University of Houston Law School.

He was also a strong supporter of the arts and a frequent performer in productions by the Navasota Theatre Alliance.

Funeral services for Steve Haley are pending.

  1. Steve Haley, a friend and peer in real estate law, was as well rounded a man as I know. Dedicated to his family, his faith and his profession, in remarkable balance and excellence. Conversation with Steve was always entertaining yet with substance. He will be missed, and his life story stands as a good example for us all. David Conoly

  2. I was preiged to know Steve as we worked and “played” together at the Fayette County Community Theatre. He was a magnificent man and fellow actor. My prayers to his family and friends.

  3. Brenham lost one of its finest with the passing of Steve Haley. He was a great attorney, a gifted actor, and a cheerful citizen. He was a great Aggie and will be sorely missed.
