BRENHAM BAND MEMBERS ADVANCE TO AREA AUDITIONS

  

Members of the Brenham High School Band competed in the 5A Area placement auditions, Thursday.

Of 38 possible spots, Brenham advanced 24 students to Area for a chance to audition for the TMEA Texas All State Band in January.

Students from Brenham, Bridgeland, Cy-Park and Waller High Schools competed to advance to the auditions to be held January 30.

Students who participated in the 5A Area Placement auditions learned three etudes and performed for five person panels.

Cub Band students who advanced will continue to hone their skills in preparation for the Area auditions where the top students from four regions will compete for an opportunity to perform with the TMEA All-State Band.

Students advancing include: Zayra Valencia, Rosie Mendoza, Sarah Fairman, Christina Powell, Tierson Williams, Zachary Poston, Garrett Briggs, Elizabeth Vanek, Kevin Pham, Sophia Cavanaugh, Carter Rybarski, Chase Martin, Danielle Deans, Zach Wright, Jannet Guerrero, Katie Perkins, Bailee Rettig, Rachel Draehn, Tanner Lewis, Ali Shiminege-Knowles, Jaiden Goerlitz, Lindy Jenkins and Chandler Stefka.
