BRENHAM BUSINESSMAN WALT SCHOENVOGEL DIES UNEXPECTEDLY

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning for a Brenham businessman and community leader.

Walt Schoenvogel, President of Chappell Hill Construction Company and a partner in R & S Leasing, died unexpectedly after suffering an apparent heart attack.

Schoenvogel was active in the Brenham community, serving as Board President of the Blinn College Foundation and on the City of Brenham Planning and Zoning Commission and the Board of Adjustments.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:30 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Brenham.

The family will receive friends and relatives Tuesday evening from 5;00-to-7:00 p.m. at Brenham Memorial Chapel at 2300 Stringer Street.

Walt Schoenvogel was 63.

  1. I knew Walt, and was completely shocked to learn this morning of his passing. I admired his business and construction acumen considerably. My heart goes out to his family.

  2. What a shock. Walt was a friend and business associate for many years. RIP, Walt.

  3. Man, I just can’t believe this. I just say him last week as he joked with me about playing golf. I had the pleasure of serving with Walt over the last four years on Board of Appeals and Adjustments, City of Brenham. Great man, and servant.

  4. Brenham has lost one of it’s great men.
    Everyone should keep his family, employees, and the community in their prayers.
