BRENHAM CHILDREN’S CHORUS PRESENTING ‘SCHOOL HOUSE ROCK JR.’

  

Some of a certain age, remember when children watching Saturday morning cartoons got a little dose of education with the short feature ‘School House Rock.’  These short animated lessons covered school related subjects with the help of rock music.

The series has been made into a musical and that musical is this year’s presentation of the Brenham Broadway Kids of the Brenham Children’s Chorus.  The curtain goes up tonight (Friday), for ‘School House Rock Jr,’

Children’s Chorus Music Director Pam Young says the musical is fun and educational with lots of music and it’s all about a teacher with a dream and a new way to teach students..

‘School House Rock Jr,’ opens tonight (Friday) at seven at the O’Donnell Performing Arts Center.  There is a matinee performance at two Saturday afternoon.

You will see 24 students in the Brenham school district perform in this musical.  Tickets are $8 pre-sale and $10 at the door.
