BRENHAM CITY COUNCIL TO APPROVE FINAL PAYMENT FOR HOHLT PARK

The Brenham City Council will approve the final payment for the Hohlt Park Trail reconstruction when they meet on Thursday.

Hohlt Park will play host to the State ASA Softball Tournament this weekend.

The walking trail was heavily damaged in the May flooding and needed edging and a new crushed granite path. The reconstruction of the walking trail was awarded to Collier Construction. In an August meeting the council approved the contract for $144,200. Brenham Public Works Director, Dane Rau estimates that 75-percent of the cost will be covered by FEMA.

In other business, the city council will approve the adoption of the Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library policy manual.

The Brenham City Council will meet at 1 p.m. in the second floor council chambers of City Hall.
