BRENHAM COUPLE CELEBRATES 40 YEARS OF MUSIC
Longtime Brenham residents and pianists will celebrate 40 years of playing the organ and piano together this year with a concert for the community.
Robert and Martha Haydon will hold a double grand piano concert to commemorate 40 years of music at 6 p.m. on September 25th at First Baptist Church in Brenham.
Martha has accompanied and performed with a variety of musical groups including church choirs in Galveston, the Galveston College Choir, the Galveston Opera Workshop, Unity Theatre of Brenham, and the Brenham High School drama department musicals. She has served as pianist at Brenham's First Baptist Church for thirty years and has served as interim music director.
Her favorite duet partner is her husband, Robert. He stays busy practicing family medicine at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center in Brenham and offers organ and piano lessons to the community.
