BRENHAM FFA BREATHING NEW LIFE INTO AG FARM

After being vacant for nearly two decades, the Brenham FFA Ag Farm is being reopened.  The Ag Farm was developed to provide an opportunity for FFA members who lack adequate facilities at home to raise an animal project. One animal project is currently being housed at the barn, and space is available for additional FFA members to use, as well.

Brenham Director of Career and Technical Education Cody Stelter said, “The FFA Ag Farm provides the opportunity for all students to participate in showing livestock through Brenham FFA. It is great to see the facility being used again, and we hope to continue the rich tradition of the Brenham FFA Ag Farm that was started many years ago.”

The Brenham FFA hopes to add more pens and house multiple animals at the facility in the future. Reopening the Ag Farm was the accomplished through FFA Advisor and welding teacher Colby Finke and construction trades teacher Mark Thiel, whose classes provided the labor to restart this facility. The Brenham FFA also thanks Superintendent Dr. Walter Jackson for his support of the revitalization of the Ag Farm.  Story and photo courtesy of Brenham ISD.
