BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT CALLED OUT FOR SMOKE ODOR THURSDAY

  

The Brenham Fire Department answered only one fire call yesterday (Thursday).

At 12:14 p.m. Thursday firemen were dispatched to a house at 1607 South Day Street where an odor of smoke was reported.  Upon arrival they found an air conditioner motor was causing the smell.  Firemen turned off the power to the AC unit and returned to the station.
