BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT HELPS TRAPPED PERSON IN CHAPPELL HILL CRASH

  

The Brenham Fire Department helped rescue  a trapped person during an accident involving a semi-truck Friday evening in Chappell Hill.

The accident happened at 9801 Highway 290 East around 5:30 p.m. When the Brenham Fire Department arrived, they found an accident involving a 2007 Ford F150 and an 18-wheeler semi-truck. chappellhillcrash

A person was trapped in the passenger side seat of the F150, which was pushed up next to the semi-truck. The Brenham Fire Department used cutters and spreaders to remove the driver’s side door and rear driver’s side door to gain access to the person. Fire department personnel and EMS removed the person from the truck. No further information on the person’s condition is known at this time.

Fire department personnel stood by until wreckers arrived to remove the cars involved from the roadway.

Thanks Brenham Fire Dept. for the awesome job you do…but why did the Washington county EMS Transport out of county 10-12 miles to meet PHI helicopter when there is and has been a designated landing zone a quarter of a mile from the accident? Probably make more money charging insurance companies? and why does the Fire Dept. in the towns the accidents happen in never get dispatched? just questions that pop into an old man’s head?
