BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT

  

On Monday at around 3:19 pm at 4765 US Highway 290, the Brenham Fire Department was dispatched to a transportation incident and stood-by for fluids leaking from car and power lines down.

Fire Department  responders stood by until the power company secured the power lines and found a small amount of motor oil in a grass area that was already absorbed into the ground when the wrecker removed the car.

Also on Monday at around 6:30 pm at 1002 Niebuhr St. the fire department was dispatched to the area behind 1002 Niehbuhr St.,for possible illegal burning.

BFD responders found a small pile of sticks and leaves burning in the back yard. Fire Marshal Finke advised the home owner of the City of Brenham Ordinance prohibiting burning inside the Brenham city limits and gave them a verbal warning.

The home owner apologized and complied by extinguishing the fire.
