BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT

  

On Thursday around 2pm, the Brenham Fire Department responded to 4001 State Highway 36 S for a reported vehicle fire.

The fire department arrived and found a 200 Buick fully involved in fire in the parking lot. FD units extinguished the flames. One building at the Brenham State Supported Living Center had to have light smoke removed from their building. The car was a total loss and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

On Thursday, around 3:00pm, fire department units responded to 101 E Main for a reported smoke odor inside a structure.

Upon arrival, they found a ballast in a light had overheated causing the odor. The lights were turned off and the occupants were advised to call a repair man.

On Thursday around 7:00pm, the fire department was called to the 4900 Blk of State Highway 36 S for a Transportation Incident with entrapment. BFD units arrived and found a pick-up on its side with one victim inside. The fire department used extrication equipment to remove the roof and assisted the Washington County EMS with the removal of the victim.

Also on Thursday at around 8:00 pm., BFD was dispatched to 1607 S Hwy 105 for a wash down in the parking lot. FD units arrived and found a small amount of gasoline on the ground. The spill was cleaned up and BFD stood by for a short time.
