BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT

  

 

The Brenham Fire Department responded to 3 calls in the past 24 hours.

The Brenham Fire Department was dispatched at 2:55pm to a transportation incident with entrapment at the intersection of South Day and West Stone Streets.  BFD responders removed the passenger side door of a 2008 Chevrolet Equinox with rescue equipment then assisted Washington County EMS remove one patient.

The Brenham Fire Department was dispatched at 5:21pm for mutual aid with Meyersville Fire Department to a residential structure fire in the 1200 block of Allen Road. Responders found all occupants were out of the house. One of the occupants had extinguished the fire on a stove that was left unattended. Fire damage was confined to the kitchen area. Fire responders removed light smoke and the electricity was shut off to the house.

Brenham Fire Department was dispatched just after midnight to intersection of Douglas Street and Alamo Street for a transportation incident with entrapment.  BFD responders arrived and found one vehicle on its side in middle of roadway with one patient under trapped under the vehicle. There were many bystanders attempting to hold vehicle up at this time. Washington County EMS stabilized the patient and BFD responders used rescue equipment to lift the vehicle enough to free the patient. BFD stayed on scene until a wrecker up righted and removed the vehicle. Debris and fluids were washed off the roadway.
