BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT

  

On Saturday around 8:45 am, the Brenham Fire Department responded 2610 State Highway 36 S., Hartz Chicken, for an automatic fire alarm.  Upon arrival and after investigation, BFD found that the employees did not turn on the vent hood before heating the grease causing the alarm to activate.  There was no emergency.

Also on Saturday, around 3:35 pm, the Brenham Fire Department responded to 203 US Highway 290 W., Walmart, for a fuel spill in the parking lot.  Upon arrival BFD found fuel leaking from the fuel line valve of a 1986 Chevy Truck.  BFD stopped the leak with pliers and used absorbent on the small amount of fuel that was spilled.  The owner was advised to have a mechanic fix the leak before moving the truck.
