BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT

Brenham Fire Department responded to several calls for service on Tuesday.

At just before 10am, at Highway 36 N at Jungle Lane, the Brenham Fire Department was dispatched for a transportation incident with possible entrapment. While BFD was in route, Washington County EMS Medic 1 advised there was no entrapment and BFD responders were cancelled.

Then around 3:15pm at 905 Mill Creek Road, the Brenham Fire Department was dispatched for a smoke investigation at a residence.

BFD responders determined the smoke was caused by the heating system which had been turned on for the first time this season.

Then at around 5:45pm at 1909 Church Street, the Brenham Fire Department was dispatched for a carbon monoxide investigation along with the City of Brenham Gas department. Responders checked the residence with a gas detector and there was no detectable CO.

Finally, just before 10pm at 1101 S Blue Bell Road, the Brenham Fire Department was dispatched to an automatic fire alarm for the fire sprinkler system activation at Blue Bell Creameries.

BFD responders found that the sprinkler system had a leak in the piping. Blue Bell maintenance personnel were on location to make the needed repairs and reset the alarm system.
