BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT

  

The Brenham Fire Department responded to a call from 4001 State Highway 36 on Monday around 10:55am for an Automatic Alarm. The call was canceled due to the alarm company working on the system.

Also on Monday around 2:56pm, the BFD, along with the Berlin VFD responded to a call to the 600 Block of S. Berlin for a reported grass fire. When the fire department arrived, they found about 1 ½ acre of grass burning. BFD stayed on the scene until the fire was under control.

The Brenham Fire Department also responded to U.S. Highway 290 for a smoke investigation. When the units arrived, they found a neighbor was burning wood in a fire ring causing the smoke.

On Tuesday morning around 1:07 am, the BFD responded to 3430 Mustang Road for a reported car fire. When the department arrived, they found a vehicle emitting smoke. The fire was extinguished and the cause is under investigation.
