BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT

  

On New Year’s Eve around 6:30pm, the Brenham Fire Department responded to the intersection of State Highway 36 N. and N. Park St. for a motor vehicle accident with leaking engine fluids.  BFD arrived on location to find a small amount of antifreeze that had spilled out of the engine.  BFD used absorbent on the small spill.

Friday morning around 12:50am, the BFD responded to 4001 State Highway 36 S., Brenham State Supported Living Center, for an automatic fire alarm.  Upon arrival and after investigation BFD found that the alarm had malfunctioned and the staff was in the process of trying to reset the alarm.

Then just before 5 am, BFD responded to 1903 Pecan Circle for a possible carbon monoxide leak.  EMS was on location and was accessing the resident for possible carbon monoxide poisoning.  BFD unit used monitoring equipment to try to find the possible source, but none was found.
