BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDS TO STRUCTURE FIRES OVER WEEKEND

  

Brenham Fire Department to four fires over the weekend. Three reported structure fires and one grass fire.

Around 6:19pm on Saturday Brenham Fire Department responded to 606 Robinhood for a reported structure fire. Once arrived, they found that a grill was fully engulfed in flames in the back yard. Tank water and a hose line were used to extinguish the fire. No injuries were reported.

Just after 8:40pm Saturday evening the fire department responded to 1300 Tom Dee Street for a grass fire.  A large fire was found in the back yard. The resident was advised of the city code and the fire was extinguished by the resident.

On Sunday at 10:12am the fire department made their way to 712 Cottonwood for a reported structure fire.  Light smoke was found coming from the eaves of the garage area.  After entering the garage, they found a small fire.  The fire was extinguished and damages were left to the sheetrock wall inside the garage with smoke damage.

Also on Sunday at 8:20pm the Brenham Fire Department responded to 6441 Hwy 36 south in response of a structure fire. They found that a company was using a flare fire to burn out excess gas out of a tanker trailer.  The manager was informed about calling the next time they do the burn out with the flare fire.
