BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDS TO TWO CALLS

  

A reported structure fire last (Friday) night brought the Brenham Fire Department to the scene in the Salem area.

Brenham Firemen were dispatched at 7:11 p.m. Friday to assist the Salem Volunteer Fire Department with a reported structure fire at 1711 FM 109.  Upon arrival they found a control burn behind a residence, and no action was taken.

Saturday morning at 4:22, Brenham firemen responded to an automatic alarm at Hartz Chicken at 2610 Highway 36 South in Brenham.  They found a sprinkler head activated in a cooler unit at the restaurant.  Firemen shut off the water to the sprinkler. Cause of the activation was undetermined.
