BRENHAM HIGH SCHOOL RECEIVES COMPUTER SCIENCE AWARD

  

Brenham High School has been selected from nearly 1,000 entries to receive the 2017 Champion of Computer Science in Community Impact Award from the Computer Science Teachers Association and Code.org. This award is being presented in celebration of the 2017 Computer Science Education Week, and was accepted Monday by Brenham High School computer science teacher Trenton Hall in San Mateo, California

The awards event featured talks by Peggy Johnson of Microsoft, Sheryl Sandberg of Facebook, and Susan Wojcicki of YouTube. Brenham High School is being recognized for creating a total of 8 prosthetic hands and arms over the last 3 years, and for being on the forefront of the national computer science education movement.
