BRENHAM HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT NAMED TO ALL-STATE CHOIR
A Brenham High School student has earned a prestigious honor.
Troy Freeman, a member of the Brenham High School Varsity Choir, will perform with the Texas All-State Choir in San Antonio, Saturday, February 11, at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.
Freeman was chosen for this honor through a competitive process held across the state at District, Region, and Area levels.
The All-State Choir will perform as part of the 2017 Texas Music Educators Association Clinic/Convention.
Troy is a voice student of Daniel Perry and sings at Brenham High School under the direction of Carol Perry.
All-State is the highest honor a Texas music student can receive. 1,780 students are selected through a process that begins with over 68,000 students from around the state.
This is Freeman’s first time to perform as a member of a TMEA All-State organization.
Troy is the son of Jeff and Kara Freeman of Brenham.
