VIDEO – BRENHAM HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS “PUMPKIN CHUNKING” TUESDAY
Brenham High School students were Pumpkin Chunking on the rear lawn of the school today (Tuesday). The students were trying out various contraptions they designed to launch the small pumpkins.
Some of the catapults and trebuchets were quite complex and launched the pumpkins over 50 yards.
Rain shortened the competition Tuesday afternoon, but the farthest chunk of the day was 65.5 meters or almost 215 feet.

My son chunked his pumpkin a little over 11 meters!! I am one proud momma!!!
New school record set today 75 meters! That’s my girl!
Some kids do their own projects! I know I was politely but very firmly pushed away every time I offered too much assistance. Just materials, tools, and safety oversight. Way to go, catapult team! 20 meters is an ‘A’!
