BRENHAM ISD BOARD OF TRUSTEES TO DISCUSS CONTRACTS

  

The Brenham board of trustees will consider a one year contract extension for GCA custodial services as well as the student athletic and catastrophic insurance with Greater East Texas Insurance Associates. Other contract renewals will be considered, including, with ESC VI for a student information system used for registration, scheduling attendance and gradebook at a cost of $38,243, TTVN through Texas A& at a cost of $40,608, and ESC VI at a cost of $49,800 as the district’s internet service providers.

A selection of contractors for phase one of the central office improvements is expected to be made. Phase one improvements include asbestos abatement, flooring, and painting. A contractor for the removal and replacement of the competition and practice gym lights at the high school is also expected to be selected.

An update will be given on TASB policy and a report will be given on the annual instructional materials allotment and TEKS certification.

The board will give special recognition to a few groups. BHS cub basketball, computer science team, European trip, and the “You Make a Difference” award winners will all be recognized during the meeting.

The BISD board will hold an executive session to discuss teacher contracts and personnel matters.

The Brenham ISD Board of Trustees will meet at 6:00pm Monday evening in the lecture rooms at the High School.
