  1. I AGREE WITH ALL OF THE ABOVE !!!!!

ONE OF THE SCHOOLS IS LIKE A ZOO, KIDS ACT LIKE ANIMALS, AND NOTHING GETS DONE.

    WHAT A SHAME BISD !!!!!

Discipline please!!! I hope whoever he/she is, that, discipline is high on their agenda!!!

    1. I have a child at the high school and at Krause and discipline seems to be missing at both schools. The inmates are running the asylum.

Discipline is a problem across the district, not just at the high school. It is time that children be made to respect their teachers or be removed from the classroom setting. The horror stories of the things these kids say and do are terrible.

  3. And “discipline please”, only echoes what several hundred over the past three decades know. This lack of teacher support and pay, and the bloated staff of administrators are why the private school enrollment is so high for this small community. Taxpaying parents are forced to send their children to private school to get the good basics before they are forced by lack of funds to send them into the chaos the board calls school. Challenge the board to publish the percentages of private school primary grade students that graduate in the top 20 percent from BHS.

  4. When, if ever, is the administration and board going to formerly discuss the complete and total lack of discipline at many of our schools? When, if ever, will a plan be presented that says certain types of behavior and disrespect will not longer be tolerated, that students and teachers have a right to be respected and the learning environment will be protected for those who want to learn. We have parents who believe their “perfect child” can do not wrong and will defend their terrible behavior despite every indication the child is creating chaos in the classroom and the teacher gets no backup up from the administration. Teachers are being told not to refer kids to the office because it looks bad to the state. How about fixing the problem instead of hiding it by forcing the teachers to deal with discipline alone and without a support system.

I am hearing turnover at year end is going to be very high! Between the breakdown of discipline and the low pay adjusted only with fake “mid-point” increases teacher morale is low and many are leaving. It is time to do something to bring order back to our schools, teachers should not need combat pay just to show up everyday.
