BRENHAM ISD BUSES RUNNING LATE, PARENTS TAKING KIDS TO SCHOOL OPTIONAL

Brenham ISD has announced that buses will be running two or three hours late due to the high water. Parents are urged to use caution in bringing their children to school.

The District says that if the parent feels traveling is too unsafe, then they urge parents to stay at home and not to attempt to travel.

  1. How do you announce that you are delaying the opening of school at 8am? That decision could not have been made an hour or two earlier? It is not worth risking students, parents, AND teachers lives. Come on Brenham ISD!

  2. Yeah, common sense. The kind that would dictate calling much sooner than three minutes till 8, after I’ve already woken the kids 30 minutes earlier than usual, left the house earlier than usual, and drove in to drop the kids off, to tell us school will be delayed until 10 AM. Nice.

  3. Why is it ok for parents to have to attempt to drive in the flooding but not ok for school buses? BISD use common sense and delay the opening of the school.

    1. because if one car floods off the road not that many people are affected. if a whole bus of children and the driver get carried off by water then it is a fiasco. they did delay the opening of school. calm down
