BRENHAM ISD ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS TO BEGIN “STUDENT OF THE MONTH” PROGRAM

Brenham ISD elementary campuses will begin recognizing a “Student of the Month” to celebrate individual achievement and create a culture of learning that values academic success, as well as elevates awareness of student contributions to the community at large.BISD logo feature

The student of the month is not chosen solely on academics. The student of the month must be a diligent student, complete assignments on time, and show a strong effort to learn subjects to the best of their ability, prepare for class, and have good classroom participation.

These students demonstrate excellent behavior in and out of the classroom, are well mannered, and respectful to both peers and teachers. The student of the month displays excellent citizenship by working together with classmates in a cooperative attitude and exhibiting good behavior. These students display leadership qualities, serve as role models for their peers, and demonstrate exemplar character to contribute to a positive learning environment.

Students may be nominated by their grade level teachers or any campus staff with knowledge of the student both inside and outside of the classroom. Students will be selected each month starting in November and ending in May. Student of the Month honorees will receive a sign to display in their yard for the month in which they were selected, as well as a certificate to recognize their accomplishments.
