BRENHAM ISD FOUNDATION AWARDS MINI-GRANTS
Members of The Brenham ISD Education Foundation and local donors recently awarded $32,000 in mini-grants to recipients on the Brenham campuses. Among those receiving the grants were Justin Baker, Brenham Cub Percussion Band Director, who received $750 for new mallets and drumsticks for marching band.
Brandon Runge, Operations Manager of W.W. Grainger, Inc. in Bryan, was instrumental in securing a $5,000 grant with the Grainger Foundation. This money was used to purchase document cameras for the new Early Childhood Learning Center and also to purchase Osmo kits for the Krause Elementary Library. Osmos kits allow for creative thinking while teaching skills in math, spelling, and reading.
Each grant recipient received a pennant to display in their classroom, along with available grant items requested. Photos courtesy of Brenham ISD.
