BRENHAM ISD REACTS TO THREAT ‘HOAX’

Brenham ISDOfficials with the Brenham ISD say they have been made aware of an internet and social media hoax that has been circulating nationally regarding threats of violence occurring in and around public schools.

School officials are assuring the public that they are working with local law enforcement agency to ensure the safety of all Brenham ISD students and staff.

A press release, issued Monday afternoon says, “while there is no evidence that any of these reports are credible, we will take all threats very seriously. The safety of our staff and students is our top priority and we will continue to monitor this matter.”

  1. It’s sad for the children who love Halloween, but it’s also alarming for us who enjoy having the children come to our homes for treats. Clean, innocent fun is becoming a memory. How sad.

  2. Doesn’t this make you wonder how many people will be dressed up as clowns this Halloween?

    1. Yes that’s why we are staying in this year it’s sad because my son is looking forward to go trick or treating I might just take him early

      1. There are plenty of community opportunities that are not house to house. Trunk or Treats at the Fairgrounds, Boys and Girls Club, and some church parking lots.
