BRENHAM JUNIOR HIGH STUDENTS COMPETE IN AUSTIN COMPETITION

  

Three Brenham Junior High teams competed in Austin Friday, October 16th at the New World Institute.

Each team researched what it would take to survive in a self- sufficient world on Mars, the moon, or in deep space.

The teams wrote papers, designed models, and built computer generated worlds.

Participating were 8th graders:  Jackson Mueller, Alldyn Schroeder, Makayla Meaux, Emma Prewitt, Justin Counts, Blake Kruse, Jon Perkins, Megan Lampe, Mia Aschenbeck, and Joe Koehler.

7th graders were Jacob Counts, Kaylin Evans, Elizabeth Chisholm, Kristi Evans, Arabella Maitland, Jashua Cruz, Carson Mclead, Thang, Tham, Rowdy Weidemann, Mackenzie Mauer, Sydney Mason, Wesley Clendenn, Nakayla Pickens, and Grant Chisholm.

7th grade Team Iron Olympians won honorable mention for agricultural planning.

7th grade Team Zealous Designers finished second for 3D modeling.

  1. Congratulations to all the students for participating in the New World Institute and preparing projects for presentation in Austin. I know project planning and work began the first week of school and took many hours. I want to also praise the BISD staff who sponsored this project and thank you for your time, talent and devotion to education.
