BRENHAM LIBRARY APPROVED FOR GRANT AT CITY COUNCIL MEETING

The Brenham City Council approved the Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library for a grant of $2,000 that will allow them to purchase magnification devices.

The price of the devices comes in at “approximately $1,400” according to the representative of the Library, and will allow visitors to the library that might have vision problems to enjoy the same materials at the library as everyone else.

The City unanimously approved the grant.

The library also took the council staff on a quick tour through the library using the new 3D scan that was created by Collier Construction and Deans Imaging. Staff showed off the ability to read titles of the books due to the clarity of the scan, and explained that the 3D tour would soon be available on the Brenham library website at cityofbrenham.org/library.
