BRENHAM MAIFEST ASSOCIATION AWARD SCHOLARSHIPS

  

The Brenham Maifest Association has awarded $500 scholarships to Brenham High School, Burton High School, and Brenham Christian Academy recipients.

The recipients evaluate the applicants on academics, financial need, extra-curricular community activities, community volunteering activities, personal attributes, and a 200-250 word essay entitled “What the Brenham Maifest Means to Me.”

The deciding Committee consisted of Dr. Gary Appelt, Jane Barnhill, Lisa Cooker, Andrew Martin, and Chairman Dr. Wilfred O. Dietrich.

The Brenham High School scholarship winners are:

Kaitlyn Doyle, who plans to attend Sam Houston state University and major in Criminal Justice.

Kaci Lynn Pecht, who plans to attend Texas Lutheran University, and major in Communications and Marketing.

Rachel Katherine Weiss, who plans to attend Texas A&M in College Station and major in International Studies-Communication and Media, and Raul E Zuniga, who plans to attend Baylor University and major in Business.

The Burton High School recipient is Jaden Ray B. Eckermann, who plans to attend Blinn College, and then Texas A&M University in College Station or Sam Houston State University, and major in Kinesiology

Brenham Christian Academy did not have a student to apply for a Maifest scholarship.
