BRENHAM MAN ARRESTED FOLLOWING TRAFFIC STOP

A Brenham man has been arrested following a traffic stop.
Monday, just after 8:30 pm, Officer Eddie Martinez conducted a traffic stop in the 1300 block of Ewing St.
Martinez says he could smell the strong odor of marijuana. Upon investigation, marijuana and prescription pills were located.
A passenger in the vehicle, 20-year old Devun Cooksey, was taken into custody and charged with Possession of Marijuana, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence.
Cooksey was taken to the Washington County Jail.
