BRENHAM MAN ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY INJURY

Police arrested a Brenham man Thursday for assault causing bodily injury.
Thursday evening at 8:45, Officer Jason Kasprowicz responded to the 300 block of Shepard Lane in reference to an assault. During the investigation, it was learned that a verbal altercation had taken place between a male and female and had turned physical. Further investigation revealed the male subject Melvin Ragston, 53 of Brenham assaulted the female subject. Ragston was placed in custody and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was booked for Assault causing bodily injury.
