BRENHAM MAN ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT OF OFFICER

A Brenham man is in custody, after allegedly assaulting a police officer.
22-year old Michael Angelo Gonzales faces charges after his arrest early Wednesday morning.
Around 4:30 a.m., officers were called to the 300 block of Rippetoe St. in reference to shots being fired.
Authorities say Gonzales was reportedly shooting rounds in the air.
While he was being taken into custody, Gonzales reportedly assaulted one of the arresting officers.
He is charged with Assault of a Public Servant and Disorderly Conduct.
