BRENHAM MAN ARRESTED FOR POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

  

A Brenham man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance Saturday morning.

A caller notified police that someone appeared to be sleeping in a truck at Prairie Lea Cemetery. An officer approached the vehicle and found Pablo Ulises Lujano Cervantes, 20, of Brenham sleeping. When the officer woke up Cervantes, he noticed the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The officer conducted a search of the truck and discovered a backpack that contained what appeared to be several tablets of ecstasy. Cervantes was then detained for possession of a controlled substance.
