A Brenham man was arrested on Friday by Washington County Sheriff’s Sergeant Brad Kulow on Burglary of a Motor Vehicle charges.

Arrested was nineteen-year-old year old Gamarcus Dewayne Sheppard who was at a Brenham motel after Sheppard was charged with another count of Burglary of a Motor Vehicle, a Class A Misdemeanor, according to Washington County Sheriff Otto Hanak.

This current offense occurred on July 21, 2015, in the Chappell Hill area.

Evidence secured by Investigator Damon Wegner during the course of the investigation led to the charge and subsequent arrest.

The bond was set at $10,000.00 by Justice of the Peace Doug Zwiener.  Sheppard posted bond the next day and was released from custody.

Sheppard is currently on probation in Washington County after being arrested last summer and convicted this year on two charges of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.

  1. Really? On probation for two previous BMV charges, gets caught again for the same thing, and only gets a $10,000 bond? So he can go steal another car? Nice

  2. If he would have been jailed for his previous convictions he.wouldn’t had been able.to break into someone else’s property!!! And how does he make bail if he’s on probation?!?! Something is seriously wrong at the courthouse!!!

  3. We don’t call it the catch and release program for nothing! It is obvious this person is not interested in being a productive member of society. He would rather steal things others have worked for and when caught, gets a free air conditioned vacation on our dime.

    1. He doesn’t get a free vacation, he always has “plenty” of money to post bond. If he is out committing crimes, when does he have time to work? Hmmm… wonder where he gets his money?
