BRENHAM MAN ARRESTED ON DWI CHARGES

  

A Brenham man has been arrested on DWI charges.

Cpl. Justin Schiller responded to an accident on Friday just after midnight in the 1400 block of US 290 West.

When he arrived, he saw a 1998 Mercury in the center median, facing the opposite direction. It appeared that the vehicle had hit several support post on the guard rail, which was twisted and in the roadway.

A second vehicle hit the guardrail that was in the roadway, and crashed into the guardrail further down the road.

The driver of the Mercury was unsteady on his feet, and had the strong smell of alcohol on his breath.

He was cleared by EMS, so Schiller conducted a field sobriety test.

The driver, twenty-five-year old Cody Jack Mott, was unable to perform a field sobriety test, and was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.
