BRENHAM MAN ARRESTED ON DWI-WEAPON CHARGES
A Brenham man faces numerous charges after his arrest late Friday night.
Just after 11:30 p.m., Sgt. Curtiss Schoen conducted a traffic stop in the 2300 block of Old Chappell Hill Road.
Schoen said he saw a large knife on the floor next to the driver’s seat, while 52-year old Gregory Britton was looking for his license.
Schoen reports that Britton’s speech was slurred and he could smell alcohol in the car. Britton failed a field sobriety test.
Britton is charged with: Driving While Intoxicated—Third Offense, Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon; and, Driving while License Invalid-previous conviction.
